What Are We Up To In Ministry?

February 19, 2012 — 2 Comments

This picture is from a few weeks ago, but it’s the best way to frame what we’re really up to in ministry here in Florida. After church from time to time we have baptisms in the pool outside the YMCA where our church meets. The particular Sunday in the picture was when Jack, a new friend of mine and former atheist, was baptized. He’s a freshman at UCF and had started coming to our small group back in late fall. God was clearly at work as by the time he came to the small group with our friends Cody and Brown (who work with him at Tropical Smoothie Cafe), he was already very open and inquisitive. It was really only a few weeks before he confessed Christ and then as you can see above, he was baptized the next available opportunity.

What I thought might be helpful though is to just start a series here on the blog to better keep you updated. As new things happen with the ministry we’re apart of here in Florida, I’ll make a post here, and this page will be the running tab of posts.

Here’s what we’ve got:

  1. My Ministry Internship
  2. High School Boys Bible Study: Ephesians
  3. Church at The YMCA
  4. SHIFT One Day: Apologetics Seminar
  5. Baptisms in the Swimming Pool
  6. Leading a Small Group
  7. ?????
