Metal Monday: Intervals | The Escape

There’s not a ton of metal bands that have a vocalist only doing clean vocals, but this just works. I wish more instrumental metal acts would make the jump to adding a clean vocalist like Intervals did.

  1. I LOVE Intervals, but I must admit that I didn’t really care for the addition of vocals. To be fair, I’ve not listened to the whole album, but what I did listen to I liked less than the instrumental EPs. However, they’re still a great group and I still jam the instrumentals on a regular basis.

I’m also a big fan of Widek. On their new full length, one of the songs from the Multiverse EP is included but with vocals this time. I love the addition of vocals here–both cleans and gutturals are excellent!

    • I actually like the EP’s better musically, but I also like the addition of clean vocals. Maybe its more conceptually I like having clean vocals over that kind of music.

I’ll have to check out Widek, haven’t heard of them!

  2. Nice. I hadn’t heard of intervals before. Nice to have some clean vocals. I can only take so much metalcore-ishness.

  3. Are these guys Christian?

  4. Just wanted to say that I am LOVING Metal Mondays!
